Corner Brook DGC Grand Opening

The weather was in full cooperation for the grand opening events at Corner Brook Disc Golf Course this past weekend.

Corner Brook DGC is Newfoundland & Labrador’s first 18-hole course and was designed by Ben Smith of Flickline Disc Golf. It features beautiful, tree-lined fairways that weave through the mountains and an abandoned quarry near Captain Cook’s Lookout.

The brand-new course played host to three separate events this weekend: a grand opening event on Thursday, a flex start tournament on Friday, and the 36-hole Mausey Day Classic on Saturday.

Grand Opening Event

More than 70 people from all backgrounds showed up to the grand opening event. Attendees were treated to free discs, free lessons and an exciting first look at the course.

Corner Brook Flex Start

The flex start tournament occurred throughout the day on Friday, with players being able to play 18 holes and post scores at whatever times best fit their schedules.

Mausey Day Classic
